A Cherry Bomb seedling — species Capsicum annuum, 2,500 to 5,000 Scoville units, 1 out of 5 on the heat scale.
The variety got its name from its appearance: the fruit is round and red, looks like a cherry, and is mild on the tongue. That is exactly why it is grown in small quantity — as a pepper that goes into a salad whole, for the sake of how it looks.
How to grow it
Sow in spring, give the seedling light, fruit in late summer. Like most of the smaller peppers, it also does well in a pot on a balcony.
When it arrives
Seedlings are delivered in spring (the site states late April), Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
