About the producer
Đed Niko is a family farm in Podgradci, near Gradiška. It started in 2017 with a single chilli — Carolina Reaper — and has been growing about thirty varieties ever since, from jalapeño to the golden Yellow Primo Reaper.
Everything that goes in the bottle they grow
Chillies, onion, basil, marjoram, oregano, aronia and quince — everything seasonal comes from their own garden or from nearby suppliers. Most of the seed they use they grow themselves; the rest they buy from trusted suppliers. Seedlings get a dedicated part of the season because they decide the yield.
Three levels of the same sauce
The range started with one Carolina Reaper sauce, which is now sold in three versions — mild, hot and extremely hot. Only the amount of powder differs, not the base or the method. The brand's name also came out of that chilli, tasted once in 2017: after it, grandfather Niko said “and it is not that hot”.
Small batches
Everything is made by hand, in batches limited by the raw material, so a product is sometimes out of stock. The sauces contain no artificial colours, aromas or thickeners: apart from chillies, vegetables and herbs, only vinegar, salt, honey or brown sugar.
Delivery
Parcels go by Serbian Post express, at the latest the second working day after the order. Fresh chillies and seedlings are shipped Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, because they do not stop spoiling in a sorting facility.
