Dark forest honey from honeydew, thick and mineral, with notes of dried fruit.
Forest honey does not come from flower nectar but from honeydew that bees collect from leaves and branches. That makes it darker, thicker and more mineral than wildflower honey, with a flavour that recalls dried figs and plums.
Strong, warm and slightly caramel-like. It rarely crystallises and stays liquid for a long time, so it pours easily over yoghurt or porridge.
A spoonful in oats with yoghurt, with mature cheese or over roasted meat. Because of its intensity, a little goes a long way.
Available in 150 g, 250 g, 350 g, 450 g, 900 g (wooden lid) and 900 g (jute). The price shown is for 150 g.
