Dark yellow heather honey with a distinctive taste and aroma. It crystallises within two to three months.
Heather gives a honey that cannot be mistaken for another: dark yellow, thick, with a distinctive, slightly earthy taste. The most valued comes from the karst fields of south-western Bosnia, where heather blooms in clean, high country.
The honey is thick and gel-like, with a pronounced herbal character. Unlike acacia, it crystallises relatively quickly — within two to three months — becoming denser but not hard.
Most often with rosehip or chamomile tea, or over a slice of wholegrain bread. Because it is thick, a slightly warmed spoon helps.
Available in 150 g, 250 g, 350 g, 450 g, 900 g (wooden lid) and 900 g (jute). The price shown is for 150 g.
